4 - 1¼" to 1½" thick boneless rib-eye or NY strip steaks (12 oz each)
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. Healthy Solutions Bold Beef Rub
Let steaks sit, covered, at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.
Heat a cast iron pan over high heat. Brush the steaks on both sides with oil and season liberally with Healthy Solutions Bold Beef Rub.
Place the steaks into the hot pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until slightly charred. Turn the steaks over and continue to grill for 3 to 5 minutes.
Transfer the steaks to a cutting board or platter, tent loosely with foil and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Tests for doneness with a meat thermometer.
For medium-rare, meat should reach an internal temperature of 135℉ For medium, meat should reach an internal temperature of 140℉
For medium-well, , meat should reach an internal temperature of 150℉
Serve with potatoes or vegetables of your choice.
