Mac & Cheese Biscuits with Cajun Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

For the Biscuits:
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Healthy Solutions Cajun Seafood spice blend
1/2 cup cold leftover macaroni and cheese
1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

For the Sausage Gravy:
1/4 cup crumbled cooked breakfast sausage
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. Healthy Solutions Cajun Seafood spice blend
1 cup milk

Directions

Biscuits:
Preheat oven to 450℉. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and Healthy Solutions Cajun Seafood spice blend into large bowl.  Cut in cold macaroni and cheese until resembles fine crumbs.  Slowly add milk until soft dough is formed.

Drop by tablespoons onto a parchment lined baking sheet.  Bake at 450℉ for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.  Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cheese.

Gravy:
Add sausage and butter to a small saucepan. Heat on medium until butter is melted.  Whisk in flour and Healthy Solutions Cajun Seafood. Keep whisking and slowly add milk. Continue to cook and whisk until gravy is thickened. Serve gravy on side for dipping or on top of biscuits.

Note: If preferred, dough can be rolled out to 1/3 inch thickness onto a lightly floured board and cut with a small biscuit cutter.
