4 pork chops, bone-in or boneless (about 1" thick)
1 tbsp Garlic Lovers or Shrimp Scampi spice blend
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
Creamy Mushroom Sauce:
1 cup sliced mushrooms (any kind)
1 tsp Garlic Lovers or Shrimp Scampi spice blend
1½ cups heavy cream
½ cup beef or chicken broth
1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel. Generously coat the pork chops with the spice blend. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high until butter is melted.
Sear the pork chops until browned on both sides, about 3-5 min. Remove pork chops from skillet to a plate to rest.
In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until brown. Add spice blend to mushrooms and stir to combine. Stir in broth and cream. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Place pork chops and their juices back into the sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes, until pork is cooked through. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
