Serves: About 8 Calories/Serving: About 350
1 lb day old white bread, cut or torn into 1” pieces (about 10 cups)
3/4 cup unsalted butter (1.5 sticks)
2½ cups yellow onions, chopped
1½ cups celery, chopped
1 packet Healthy Solutions Spice Blends Pork & Poultry Rub
2½ cups low sodium chicken or vegetable broth
Preheat oven to 250°. Prepare a 9×12 glass baking dish with nonstick spray. Place bread in single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for about an hour until dried out. Transfer to a large bowl once cooled.
Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and celery to skillet; cook for about 10 minutes until they begin to brown. Add onions and celery to bowl with bread. Sprinkle on contents of Healthy Solutions Spice Blends Pork & Poultry Rub packet. Add broth slowly and toss gently. Transfer mixture to baking dish; cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for about 10 minutes or until top is browned and crisp.
Note: You can make this the day before and then just reheat before serving.
